Aluminium bushing for the blade-cover assembly of the Regina slicer, model 350-370 CE. The bushing is the bush/spacer fitted into the blade cover (the guard that covers the non-cutting edge of the blade — a safety component): it guides and centres the tie rod that secures the blade cover, keeping it correctly positioned and properly tightened against the machine plate.
As a part subjected to repeated tightening, removal for cleaning and washing, the bushing wears over time: play, ovalised seat or deformation compromise the blade-cover fixing. A sound bushing keeps the blade cover firmly and correctly seated, protecting operator safety.
